Situation 

Beginning construction on a large bank project, La Macchia group experienced safety concerns with contractors that led to higher-than-normal OSHA recordable rates, expensive offsite care and lost productivity. Inconsistent safety protocols from various contractors at projects across the United States led a leading renewables company to seek out consolidated safety services.

Solution 

La Macchia Group contracted with Medcor Safety to conduct periodic safety audits at the bank build site, eventually expanding the onsite safety professional’s position to full time. This professional also conducted an all-day safety training session for supervisors that covered first aid, CPR and AED training and certification, and other safety measures.
