Health navigation is what Medcor does
for employers and their employees who
are otherwise locked into the traditional
healthcare process.
The traditional healthcare process makes billions of dollars on claims, regardless of whether the claims were for necessary treatments. Research suggests about 20% of medical care is unnecessary. Health navigation uses evidence-based medicine, unmatched proprietary systems, patented assessment methods, and software to make smart decisions about the care patients need, to bolster health security, and to prevent unnecessary claims.
A work-related injury that is incorrectly treated with more than first aid becomes an unnecessary OSHA recordable. We identify the injuries that truly only need first aid using our proprietary technology, care protocols, algorithms, and patented assessment methods.
Many injuries that need more care than first aid can still be treated by Medcor onsite, saving productive time at work.
Using Medcor’s telemedicine, patients can virtually visit doctors for prescriptions and orders for physical therapy, saving them a trip offsite.
When a referral is needed, we send patients to the appropriate level of care within your provider network. Unlike many clinic providers, Medcor does not operate a chain of offsite healthcare facilities that benefit by the increased utilization from referrals. Because our financial model isn’t tied to making a profit from insurance claims, we can freely guide patients to the best place for their care in your provider network.
Sometimes a patient‘s health concern can wait for offsite care until after work. We use evidence-based medicine to make smart decisions about when to recommend offsite care.
With a Medcor clinic onsite, we can help employees make the most use of modified and alternate duty. We are there to track their recovery. Medcor telemedicine gives the option for remote return-to-work clearances.
We do onsite drug and alcohol testing, audiometric testing, respirator fit testing, and fitness for duty exams; doing these onsite is a big cost saver.
We promote Guiding Health Principles for wellness. We support safety programs through data trend analyses, safety program development, and safety staffing and training.
Our technology captures click feedback data for our patient encounters, whether in person or virtually, that facilitates the consistency in delivery of care, documentation, reporting, and trend analyses, and monitors outcomes for our own quality assurance process.
Medcor forges a new carepath through the complex world of healthcare by navigating people through it. We achieve positive results by integrating our innovating services, dedicated staff, and proprietary systems and software. Health navigation is delivered through workplace and construction employee clinics, telehealth solutions like injury & illness triage and telemedicine, safety services, and health security.
We help keep populations well by caring for their health, by supporting safety, and by promoting Guiding Health Principles.
Our proprietary technology powers our assessments; our technology ensures that evidence-based medicine informs our care recommendations every step of the way.
With our 24/7 nationwide availability and convenient access to care, we provide early intervention, getting health incidents on the right track, right away.
With our clinics and telehealth, most health concerns can be resolved without needing to go offsite for care.
We evaluate and treat health concerns with evidence-based medicine—medical best practices founded in science and backed by research.
Minor cases are treated with first aid. More serious cases are given the attention they need and referred to in-network providers when appropriate.
Our focus on providing only treatments that are effective means the cost-generators of unnecessary care are avoided.
Our preventative measures extend beyond the physical limits of the worksite to stop contagions from getting in.
Whether an employee is out of work due to injury or illness, our systems are built to get employees back to productive work as soon as safely possible.
When referrals are necessary, we streamline network access for efficient and effective services.
We’re compatible with all insurance plans, provider networks and TPAs; our business model isn’t tied to insurance claims.
Our technology monitors the practice patterns of our staff and trends in clinical outcomes, enabling continuous fine-tuning of clinical standards and training methods.

Medcor is a team of talented and caring health, safety, and technology advocates. These advocates are not subcontractors, but rather are Medcor employees dedicated to you. Our advocates love doing what they do; our Talent Acquisition Team recruits candidates who are highly qualified and who not only fit Medcor’s culture but also the culture of the client locations where they work. Medcor’s service excellence standards—including instant warmth, integrity, and hard work—form the backbone of our approach to customer service, which extends to every patient we care for.
We rigorously train our professionals to prepare them to deliver health navigation services both in person and virtually. Our training curriculum includes learning Medcor’s clinical standards and protocols, software, operating methods, and regulatory requirements. Our continuous clinical QA is a cycle that uses technology in our clinics to measure outcomes; we use this data to analyze and improve our standards, training, and tools.
We offer the full range of health professionals to deliver services. Staffing models include physicians (MD and DO), PAs, NPs, RNs, and OHTs (onsite health technicians—such as EMTs and paramedics).
Staffing models include:
MDs & DOs
EMTs & PARAMEDICS
Our trailblazing, entrepreneurial spirit sets us apart and makes us leaders in the field.
All our services are systems-driven. This means our services are powered by evidence-based clinical standards and technology that work together to guide our staff while they guide patients. Our proprietary systems—like our care protocols, algorithms, and patented assessment methods—combine with our software to provide consistency in care, automated documentation, workforce recovery tracking, and customized reporting. These in turn deliver consistency in outcomes as well as means for enforcing regulatory compliance (including OSHA record keeping and OSHA reporting), performing trend analyses, implementing initiatives for prevention, and ensuring safe return to work.
Additionally, Medcor’s client portal gives you insights based on the data that Medcor’s medical software has captured. A dashboard displays key performance indicators you can use to drill down and get the story that your data is telling you. You can also run reports based on aggregate data that is useful for benchmarking and analyzing trends.
With our MyMedcor mobile app people interact with Medcor at the front end of their healthcare decision process, which enables us to advocate for them and provide health navigation from the very start of their healthcare journey. Among its features is a COVID-19 symptom self-checker that supports the health security of your workforce.
Our software allows us to monitor the practice patterns of our staff for continuous improvement. Our own in-house IT professionals support our software and clinic staff.
