24/7 Injury & Illness Triage

When injured or ill workers call Medcor’s triage, they speak with a specially trained health professional who uses our proprietary technology and patented injury and illness assessment methods to make a care recommendation.

Callers who need some additional treatments (like getting prescriptions) can be obtained through telemedicine. In this case, we bring Medcor Telemed Classic into the triage process, enabling employees to see a doctor without having to go offsite. When injuries do need offsite care, we make referrals to your in-network providers.

All calls are entirely recorded to ensure quality and deter fraud. Language interpreters are always available.

This service also integrates with clinics during off hours.

These systems enable Medcor to make consistent care recommendations for the same injury types across locations. Medcor’s technology also increases in-network utilization for serious injuries that do need medical attention offsite; when referrals are needed, we make them to your panel of providers.

Furthermore, the signs and symptoms of life-threatening emergencies are also properly assessed. About 1% of callers are directed to seek emergency care, saving lives and preventing potential workplace fatalities.
